On 2 July, Chengdu Overseas Chinese Enterprises Federation held the first general meeting of its Second Session. Liu Yuquan, Standing Committee Member of Chengdu Municipal Committee, Minister of United Front Work Department and Chairman of Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Dr Chen Bin, Executive Vice President of Chinese Overseas Enterprises Federation, Executive Vice President of Sichuan Overseas Enterprises Federation, Co-founder and President of Continental Hope Group, attended the meeting.

Liu Yuquan, a Member of the Standing Committee of Chengdu Municipal Committee, emphasised that many overseas Chinese are important participants, supporters and witnesses of Chengdu's construction, and overseas Chinese enterprises are an important force that cannot be ignored in Chengdu's high-quality development. We hope that the city's overseas Chinese entrepreneurs will take on the mission, work hard, continue to be a good "investment", "liaison", "propagandist", and promote more overseas Chinese businessmen and overseas Chinese enterprises to come to Chengdu to invest and develop their business, and make efforts to draw a better Chinese-style modernisation and development.

Dr Chen Bin, President of the Group, said that overseas Chinese enterprises should vigorously carry forward the entrepreneurial spirit, deeply cherish the love of the country, adhere to the will to serve the country, and contribute to the construction of a strong country and national revival of overseas Chinese power. Overseas Chinese enterprises should actively develop new productivity, forming a good situation of "win-win" for the high-quality development of their own business and corporate social value.

The General Assembly considered and adopted the work report of the First Council of Chengdu Overseas Chinese Enterprises Federation and elected the Second Council and Supervisory Board. China Overseas Chinese Enterprises Federation and Sichuan Overseas Chinese Enterprises Federation sent congratulatory letters to the conference. Representatives of relevant provincial and municipal overseas Chinese affairs departments, Sichuan Overseas Chinese Business Federation, members of Chengdu Overseas Chinese Enterprises Association, some districts (cities) and counties, and representatives of Overseas Chinese Associations of Colleges and Universities in Chengdu participated in the meeting.
