Southwest China's First! New Energy Storage Dynamic Expansion Project Successfully Grid-connected!


On August 20th, the first New Energy Storage Dynamic Expansion Project in Southwest China, located in Hope Cloud Business Park within Xinjin District's Economic Development Zone, passed acceptance by the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) and successfully completed grid connection.

As one of the first new energy storage projects in the industrial and commercial side to complete the full approval, review and construction process in line with SGCC’s grid-connection standards, Hope New Energy has fully adopted its self-developed Shangshu 261 Energy Storage Cabinets. Four cabinets are connected in parallel to form a 500kW/1044kWh energy storage system characterized by high safety and high energy efficiency. The system charges during off-peak pricing periods and automatically discharges when the production system load exceeds the preset threshold, delivering millisecond-level response to supplement load demands of up to 500kW. This has fully addressed the contradiction of power capacity shortage in Hope New Energy's production system while effectively reducing production-related electricity costs.

This energy storage dynamic expansion project is deeply aligned with the specific conditions of the application scenario. It enables increased power supply capacity without the need to replace transformers, thereby avoiding the increase in fixed electricity fees caused by expansion. Beyond enhancing the reliability of power supply for users, it also delivers tangible economic benefits, making it a model of excellence with strong demonstrative value.

This application model can also be promoted in the future to regions where power grid upgrading and renovation are constrained by limited urban development space. It innovatively introduces a solution-focused approach: leveraging user-side asset investment to inversely defer grid investment, thereby unlocking new growth engines for the power industry.

The completion of this project stands as a successful exploration of technical pathways in the industry, marking that new energy storage has officially pioneered a brand-new application scenario: dynamic expansion.
