From May 25 to 29, H.E. Mr. Losang Jamcan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), led an NPC Standing Committee research group to Sichuan Province for a special study on the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese, returned overseas Chinese, and their family members.

During their stay in Sichuan, the research group held a symposium and heard work reports from the provincial government and relevant authorities on efforts to better protect the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese, returned overseas Chinese, and their family members. The group also conducted field visits to several institutions and enterprises, including the China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City Innovation Hall, Beichuan High School, the Guanghan Whole-Process People's Democracy Practice Center, and Continental Hope Group.

On May 26, the research group visited and inspected the Hope Cloud Business Park Tianfu Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park of Continental Hope Group. They were accompanied by He Yanzheng, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial People's Congress; Yang Xu, Director of the Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee of the Sichuan Provincial People's Congress; Yang Dong, Chairman of the Sichuan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese; He Li, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chengdu Municipal People's Congress; and Hu Jianping, District Mayor of Xinjin District. Dr. Chen Bin, Executive Vice President of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, Co-founder and President of Continental Hope Group, accompanied the inspection.

Vice Chairman Losang Jamcan and his delegation proceeded to inspect the Hope Slanvert Digital Factory, the Hope New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Factory, and the Hope Intelligent Ecological Exhibition Center. They gained a detailed understanding of the company's scientific and technological achievements and market applications in fields such as intelligent manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, and new energy equipment. They affirmed the company's progress in driving green intelligent manufacturing through new quality productive forces.

Dr. Chen Bin, President of the Group, provided a detailed introduction to the Group's overall development and future plans. Continental Hope Group, with high technology as its core and comprehensive resource utilization as a link, has built its industrial layout around "energy conservation and environmental protection, circular economy, quality life, urban symphony, intelligent technology, and international business", forming an integrated and multi-dimensional upstream and downstream industrial chain.

During the inspection, Vice Chairman Losang Jamcan also convened a symposium with representatives from several provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) on overseas Chinese affairs legislation to solicit in-depth opinions and suggestions. Participants in the inspection included Yu Weiguo, Member of the NPC Standing Committee and Chairman of the NPC Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee; Cheng Xueyuan, Member of the NPC Standing Committee and Member of the NPC Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee; Chen Yunying, Member of the NPC Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee; as well as some NPC deputies.

Vice Chairman Losang Jamcan noted that Sichuan Province attaches great importance to overseas Chinese affairs. With systematic planning and coordinated implementation, the province has continuously strengthened ideological and political guidance, improved the rule of law for overseas Chinese affairs, cultivated overseas Chinese-related resources, and upgraded services for overseas Chinese communities. It has fully united the aspirations of overseas Chinese, pooled their wisdom, mobilized their strengths, and safeguarded their legitimate rights and interests, enabling the overseas Chinese community to contribute to high-quality development across the province and the country.
