July 15, 2026 – The "2026 Chengdu Automation Academic Annual Conference and Chengdu Science & Technology Academic Exchange Conference – Automation Sub-Forum on Digital Empowerment in Manufacturing" was held at Hope Slanvert. The event was co-hosted by the Chengdu Association of Automation (CDAA) and the Science and Technology Association of Continental Hope Group, and organized by Hope Senlan Science and Technology Holding Corp., Ltd. Concurrently, the 2nd Session of the 9th Council Meeting and the 2nd Session of the 3rd Supervisory Board Meeting of CDAA were convened.

The conference aimed to promote collaborative innovation in automation and intelligent manufacturing, enhance the capacity of digital empowerment in manufacturing, and strengthen the deep integration of industry, academia, and research. Attendees included leading officials from the Chengdu Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Chengdu Association for Science and Technology (CDAST), the Shuangliu District Bureau of Science and Technology, and the Chengdu Science and Technology Promotion Center, along with CDAA's President, Vice Presidents, Executive Council Members, Council Members, member representatives, and secretariat staff, as well as CDAA's Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and Supervisory Board members, specially invited delegates, and media representatives from Sichuan Science and Technology News. The conference was chaired by Ma Lei, President of CDAA and Professor at Southwest Jiaotong University.

Site Visit to Witness Intelligent Manufacturing Capabilities

At the outset of the event, guests were guided by Hope Slanvert staff on a tour of the company's digital intelligent factory. As a national "Green Factory" designated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, a key "Little Giant" enterprise, and a Chengdu Smart Factory, Hope Slanvert showcased its core technological achievements and advanced management models in key areas of "Digital and Intelligent Transformation", including smart equipment upgrades and digitalized production process control.

Opening Remarks and Vision for the Industry Future

Following the visit, the conference officially commenced. President Ma Lei delivered the opening address. He Jianbo, Vice President of CDAA and General Manager of the Mechatronics & Intelligent Technology Division of Continental Hope Group, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizing company, extending congratulations on the convening of the conference and emphasizing the critical role of digital transformation in driving high-quality development in manufacturing.

Keynote Presentations Sharing Cutting-Edge Insights

In the expert presentation session, Professor Ding Guofu from Southwest Jiaotong University delivered a talk titled "Digital Twin Intelligent Manufacturing – Construction and Application of a New-Generation Intelligent Manufacturing System", offering profound insights into the future development of intelligent manufacturing. Xiao Hanfeng, Manager of the Information Center at Hope Senlan Science and Technology Holding Corp., Ltd., presented on "Generative AI-Driven Automatic Programming for Industrial Software: Agile Construction of Complex Factory Applications from Low-Code to No-Code", introducing innovative applications of AI technology in the industrial software sector.

Council Meetings to Discuss Society Development

Subsequently, the 2nd Session of the 9th Council Meeting and the 2nd Session of the 3rd Supervisory Board Meeting of CDAA were held, chaired by President Ma Lei. The meetings reviewed and approved internal management regulations, received briefings on work progress in the first half of the year and work plans for the second half, and reviewed the 2026 membership fee collection report. Accreditation plaques were presented to the President Unit, Vice President Units, Executive Council Units, and Council Units, and appointment letters were issued to Executive Council Members, Council Members, the Supervisory Board Member, and the Deputy Secretary-General. Wang Jian, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of CDAA, attended and addressed the meeting, while President Ma Lei delivered concluding remarks.
