Midsummer July – The Hope Stars Rise

For years, Hope Slanvert has steadily advanced its "Hope Star" Young Talent Development Program. This integrated model—combining cultural immersion, hands-on training, and experiential mentorship—has accompanied ten cohorts of young graduates through their transition from campus to career.

This summer, the 11th "Hope Star" cohort of 2026 has convened as scheduled. Young talents from universities nationwide have gathered at Hope Slanvert to embark on a transformative journey of intensive training and growth.

Youth Convergence | Embracing Passion for a New Journey

Members of this year's "Hope Star" cohort hail from a range of key universities from across the province and beyond, among them the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Southwest Jiaotong University, and Southwest Petroleum University, with academic backgrounds spanning electrical engineering, automation, mechanical engineering, electronic information, robotics and other disciplines. The balanced mix of master's and bachelor's graduates ensures both hands-on operational capability and a strong pipeline of future R&D talent.

Multi-dimensional Training | Sharpening Competence Through Practical Drills

The intensive training program features abundant and diversified sessions.

Military training serves as the first lesson for team integration. Under scorching sunlight, strict discipline and team collaboration help trainees cast off casual campus habits, foster a strong sense of rules, and prepare them with composure for subsequent learning sessions.

At the orientation meeting for new "Hope Stars", corporate leadership gathered alongside all new recruits to mark a new starting point for their career growth.

Mr. He Jianbo, General Manager of the Mechatronics & Intelligent Technology Division of Continental Hope Group and General Manager of Hope Senlan Science and Technology Holding Corp., Ltd. (Hope Slanvert), delivered a keynote address themed "In the prime of youth, let no moment pass uncherished", encouraging new recruits to maintain a positive mindset and sound attitude throughout their careers.

Mr. Zhang Shulin, Deputy General Manager of the Mechatronics & Intelligent Technology Division of Continental Hope Group, Executive Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Hope Senlan Science and Technology Holding Corp., Ltd. (Hope Slanvert), and General Manager of Chengdu Hope Electronics Research Institute Co., Ltd., shared insights around the theme "A tree cannot thrive without roots; a man cannot go far without aspirations". He encouraged the young talents to set long-term aspirations, consolidate professional foundations, and forge ahead steadily through practical dedication.

The session also featured presentations by outstanding alumni of the "Hope Star" program, who shared their career growth journeys and work experiences since joining the company. Three "senior mentors" shared diverse perspectives drawn from their hands-on experience. One remark in particular resonated strongly with all new trainees: "Be bold in work—timidity will cost you opportunities. Boldness breaks down into three core qualities: daring to conceive, daring to execute, and daring to take accountability." First-hand experience-based wisdom offered the new recruits authentic, relatable benchmarks for personal growth. Moved by the sharing, many new "Hope Stars" expressed their takeaways: some resolved to combine boldness with meticulous effort; others admired the poise and confidence of their seniors and aspired to similar growth; and many came to understand that there are no shortcuts to development—only patient study yields lasting expertise.

Training courses adopt a dual-track framework that balances well-rounded development with professional skills. The general modules cover corporate culture, administrative regulations, workplace etiquette, work safety, and quality control, with instructors delving into each topic through case studies—anchoring norms in real scenarios and grounding theory in practice.

The technical seminars focus on the core business of electric drive and industrial automation. They systematically deconstruct product principles from fundamentals to advanced levels, analyzing application logics through actual process scenarios—helping the "Hope Stars" understand not only the "how" but also the "why." A dedicated theoretical assessment was incorporated to reinforce learning through evaluation, laying a solid foundation for the upcoming rotational on-site training.

When asked about their key takeaways, many "Hope Stars" highlighted the technical seminars:

Qin Xinhao:

"Unlike university courses, the company's training emphasizes the integration of practice and real products—it feels more concrete and grounded. What's more, all instructors based their lectures on real work experience, which adds tremendous practical value. For the first time, I truly understood inverters, motors, and other things I'd only seen in textbooks."

Zhang Ting:

"The technical seminars made me realize there is a notable gap between what we learn in universities and what is actually applied in industry. But rather than discouraging me, this gap motivates me to acquire the knowledge that truly matters in the workplace."

Wen Shihao:

"The technical seminars were the most rewarding part for me. Department leaders explained a wide range of knowledge related to our core business, which gave me a clear vision of my future role and direction."

Zhang Qinmiao:

"The technical seminars gave me an in-depth understanding of the company's business layout, technical system, and future plans—clarifying what I need to do and where to focus my efforts. Meanwhile, the corporate culture sessions helped me truly grasp the company's values—something I used to see only as text on paper. Only after the training did I realize that corporate culture is actually embodied in every employee's sense of responsibility and work ethic."

Zhang Yang:

"Every session was valuable, but the technical training benefited me the most. First, it changed my perception—I used to think that cutting-edge industrial technologies must be profoundly complex, but the step-by-step breakdown demonstrated that even sophisticated technologies are built upon rigorous basic units. Second, it shifted my mindset: in the university, we're used to seeking the optimal solution, but in engineering practice, what's more important is holistic thinking—learning to find the most appropriate answer."

Tang Can:

"Leaders and instructors shared their professional experience and growth insights without reservation. Not only did I gain professional knowledge, but I also bridged the gap between theory and application. I believe this knowledge will be repeatedly applied in future production practices, helping me deepen my understanding and refine my skills over time."

Aspirations in Action | Turning Goals into Results

Though the intensive training has drawn to a close, the professional journey of the 11th "Hope Star" cohort has only just begun.

For over a decade, Hope Slanvert has painstakingly built a development system that offers young graduates a platform for theoretical application, experience sharing, and sustained growth.
