Southwest Base of China's Leading Enterprise in Commercial Satellite Power Supply Settles in Chenghua Economic Development Zone, Chengdu

Recently, a reporter learned from Chenghua District, Chengdu that Suzhou Everlight Space Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Everlight Space"), an industry-leading enterprise providing core power solutions for spacecraft, has officially established its presence in Chenghua District. The enterprise will invest in building a Southwest China R&D and manufacturing base for high-power intelligent satellite power controllers in Chenghua Economic Development Zone, injecting robust impetus into the aerospace industry chain of both Chenghua District and Chengdu as a whole.

Specializing in the commercial aerospace sector, Everlight Space's core team comprises "aerospace veterans" hailing from specialized aerospace power research institutes and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Leveraging its profound technological accumulation, the company has provided supporting services to over 60 domestic and foreign satellite prime contractors. Ranging from aerospace research institutes and university laboratories to state-owned aerospace groups and emerging commercial satellite companies, in terms of supporting development, the power supply systems of more than 270 satellites bear the mark of Everlight Space’s technology. In terms of on-orbit operations, Everlight Space has participated in more than 60 launch missions, ensuring the successful orbital entry of more than 240 satellites, solidifying its position as a leader in this niche segment.

"The Southwest China R&D and Manufacturing Base settled in Chenghua Economic Development Zone this time will focus on achieving innovative breakthroughs in next-generation satellite power controllers," a relevant person in charge of the enterprise told the reporter. Covering an industrial area of approximately 2,000 square meters, the project integrates theoretical development, product design, testing and commissioning, and production. Once completed, it will serve as a crucial strategic hub for Everlight Space to expand its reach across Southwest China.

Upon completion, the base will fully leverage Chenghua Economic Development Zone's industrial strengths and innovation resources in fields like electronic information and intelligent manufacturing. It will accelerate the commercialization of satellite power technology achievements, while attracting upstream and downstream supporting enterprises to the region, ultimately forming a complete industrial cycle of "R&D - Manufacturing - Application".

Recently, the Southwest Base of Chengdu Hope New Energy Technology Corp., Ltd., located in Xinjin Economic Development Zone, has officially entered the critical sprint phase of construction. This marks the addition of another "new engine" for new energy production in Southwest China.

As a new energy R&D and manufacturing base under Continental Hope Group, the Southwest Base of Chengdu Hope New Energy covers a diverse business scope, including energy storage technology services, battery manufacturing, microgrids, energy digitalization and other fields. It focuses on integrated solutions spanning R&D, manufacturing, sales, installation, commissioning, operation & maintenance, and investment of advanced lithium-ion battery technologies (including semi-solid-state and solid-state batteries), hydrogen energy technologies, wind and solar power generation technologies and related products.

Notably, the base is also home to Southwest China’s first dynamic expansion project for new-type energy storage. This project features the "Shangshu 261" energy storage cabinet independently developed by Chengdu Hope New Energy. Four such cabinets are connected in parallel to form a 500kW/1044kWh energy storage system with high safety and energy efficiency. The system charges during off-peak (low electricity price) hours and automatically discharges when the production system load exceeds the set threshold. With a millisecond-level response, it can supplement load demands within 500kW, addressing the power capacity shortage in the production system while effectively cutting production-related electricity costs.

Currently, the main decoration of the base is substantially completed, and it has entered the final sprint stage, focusing on production line commissioning, on-site greening, and interior optimization.

CRIntermodal Chengdu NEP Off-site Station Unveiled

Recently, the unveiling ceremony of CRIntermodal Chengdu NEP Off-site Station was held at the Global Supply Chain Headquarters Base of Neptune Logistics Group in Qingbaijiang District. This event signifies a new stage in the cooperation between China United International Rail Containers Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CRIntermodal") and Shenzhen Neptune Logistics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NEP") in fields such as international railway transportation, service system development, and supply chain collaborative growth. It also injects fresh momentum into the high-quality development of China-Europe Railway Express in the Chengdu-Chongqing region and the enhancement of the multimodal transportation system.

Qian Jun, Deputy General Manager of CRIntermodal, stated that after the off-site station commences operations, all social logistics businesses will be uniformly carried out under the CRIntermodal brand. Standardized management will be implemented through the deployment of a cloud yard system and a business operation management system, while NEP, as an entrusted supplier, will be responsible for specific operational tasks. The two parties will fully leverage their respective resource advantages to jointly expand the logistics market in Chengdu and deliver superior services to customers.

CRIntermodal Chengdu NEP Off-site Station

A relevant person in charge of Chengdu International Railway Port Economic Development Zone noted that the completion of the CRIntermodal Chengdu NEP Off-site Station will further improve the regional railway container service network, drive the clustered development of port-related logistics industries in Chengdu International Railway Port, and provide strong support for the Chengdu-Chongqing region to build an efficient and open international logistics channel.
