Ms. Yue-Sai Kan Visits Diexi-Songping Valley for a Journey of Gemstones

"I've always heard my friends around me tell me that Mao County has a lot of attractions, specialties, and non-heritage culture, and that the local folklore and festivals are colorful. I was looking forward to the opportunity to visit them in person. Today I finally have my wish fulfilled!" said Ms. Yue-Sai Kan, an internationally influential Chinese female role model, renowned Chinese host, co-chair of the Chinese American Association, and founder of the Yue-Sai brand.

Chinese culture has a long history and Chinese civilization is profound. As a Chinese role model, Yue-Sai Kan has been promoting Chinese culture at home and abroad. This time, Yue-Sai Kan visited Diexi Gem Town and started a journey of jewelry culture.

Qiang Culture as Soul, Fine Jewelry as Carrier

"The people here are hospitable and multi-talented." Yue-Sai Kan said that her stay at Treasure in the Clouds Homeland Resort came with several surprises: first, a grand "Qiang's Welcome Ceremony"; second, a local singing performance during dinner; and the best part was that she was able to get a piece of jewelry with ruby and sapphire, which is a part of the Qiang culture.

The Qiang's welcome ceremony mentioned by Ms. Yue-Sai Kan has a long history. Legend has it that Yandi was the founder of the Qiang people, and Yandi was also known as the Red Emperor. In order to remember that they are the descendants of Yandi, the Qiang people use the color red as a good-luck celebration for all grand festivals and ceremonies, representing that they never forget that their ancestor is Yandi. Year after year, the Qiang people pray for blessings, hang up red items, with a thin strip of red cloth hanging on the branches in front of the temple, known as the Qiang red. Over time, this custom of offering red has become the highest traditional ritual of the Qiang people.

And at Tresure in the Clouds Gemstone Culture and Art Center, Ms. Yue-Sai Kan kicked off the highlight of the gemstone tour. She chose not only for herself, but also for her family and friends, exquisite jewelry as gifts to convey the beauty of Chinese culture.

Tresure in the Clouds jewelry is inspired by Qiang culture, incorporating the core tone of new Chinese aesthetics, and creating unique and exquisite jewelry through superb craftsmanship and design. Tresure in the Clouds Jewelry carries the mission of cultural inheritance with jewelry, presenting the public with the finishing touch to a better life.

Walking the Diexi-Songping Valley, Planting an Apple Tree of Hope

"I like the state of life of the Qiang people, everyone is overflowing with love for life." Yue-Sai Kan said as she put on a Qiang costume and joined in the Qiang dance. The opening ceremony of the Ancient Qiang City and the Qiang Museum, which are rich in ethnic characteristics and cultural heritage, deepened Ms. Yue-Sai Kan's understanding of the Qiang culture.

Strolling through the Diexi-Songping Valley, an area that is the center of Qiang culture, Ms. Yue-Sai Kan said that it is a desirable place: the lake is between two mountains, and the clear and transparent water, echoing the green mountains and trees, is so bright and clear that it instantly opens up one's mind!

Walking down the Bailahai Trail, the sunlight drizzles through the forest, and the cool stream jumps happily on the rocks. Such beautiful natural scenery deserves to be famous all over the world!

While visiting the Diexi-Songping Valley, an apple grove caught Yue-Sai Kan's attention. Under the guidance of a professional, she planted an apple tree with her own hands: she hoped that this tree would become a link between Yue-Sai and the Qiang culture and symbolize her wish for a better life in the future.
